Hillpointe Secures Financing and Breaks Ground in South Tampa on Florida's First Live Local Amended Community

3 min readBy Stephanie Cox

Hillpointe secured financing and broke ground on Pointe Grand Interbay at Tampa, a 408-home attainable community at 7400 Interbay Blvd in South Tampa, Florida. PNC Bank led the $67 million construction loan.

The project is the first amended site in Florida under the Live Local Act, the state's strategy to increase the supply of attainable homes for Florida residents.

"We are honored to be able to finance and break ground on another community-inspired development, especially at a time when South Tampa is in need of more [attainable] housing options."

Steven Campisi, Co-Founder & Managing Partner

The community

Pointe Grand Interbay will have 15 three-story buildings and a clubhouse on a 798,216-square-foot site. All 408 homes have two bedrooms and two bathrooms and are dedicated to households earning an average of 80 to 120 percent of the area median income. Amenities include a clubhouse with co-working space, a pool and a fitness center.

KSH Engineering, Hamilton Engineering, Dark Moss and Barbas Cramer PLLC are designing the community, and completion is expected in June 2027.
